Greetings All Regarding the
Elm Street Development Project:
Click on this link for the letter submitted to the Planning Board last night (9/20/2018), regarding the proposed project at 183-189 Elm Street. Hudson/Park Neighborhood Association's stance on this project dates back to 2015, where a similar plan was submitted and subsequently rejected by the BZA. As was the case in 2015, H/PNA feels strongly that new construction of 9 single-unit apartments, which does not lend itself to owner-occupied use, is not consistent with the existing makeup of Elm Street.
After consulting with members of the community, and weighing the proposal against Albany City Code, it is H/PNA's recommendation that then proposal be rejected by the Planning Board.
Thank you to all who have contributed feedback during the process of evaluating this proposal.
